I was thinking maybe Pollyanna or something, but sorry, I can't figure it out. I did find a list of the Disney characters at Walt Disney World (it would help other answerers to know if you were there or at Disneyland, in case the characters are different) and where they appear. It's for people who are traveling there and want to know which characters are where. You could compare that list to your encounters and see who the character is and then look up the movie on the Wikipedia Disney movies page.
