Wow, this is a hard one.
I would say for the most part there is no single path to becoming an Imagineer. If you look at DisneyCareers.com you will find what sorts of people they are hiring. If you are looking for an Uber creative job - those are filled. The good news is that Disney isn't the only company that creates things, as a matter of fact Disney outsources a lot of its projects to these other companies.
