Going to Disney World on a budget. Can you offer money saving tips, including a nice Hotel for 6 people?

Our family's going to Disney World in July.

We're looking for a nice hotel for 2 adults/4 children at a great rate(Prefer a free Continental breakfast)

Any other money saving tips you have would be appreciated!Going to Disney World on a budget. Can you offer money saving tips, including a nice Hotel for 6 people?
The Seralago is a nice resort located in Kissimmee, near the main gates of Disney. They offer free transportation to Disney.

They are also located right in Old Town, which has tons of cheap places to eat, I'm not sure about the continental breakfast.

However, the rooms have a microwave and fridge, so you can bring stuff for breakfast and keep snacks, and leftovers from dinner. It starts at $40 or $50 a night I believe.

- If you kids want souvenirs, you can get them from Wal-Mart (by Medieval times is the really big one). They are the same but at least half the price.

- Bring refillable water bottles to the park. You can refill them at the water fountains.

- Eat at off peak times (About an hour after you would leave the park - so 8 or 9 if time permits, or 3 or 4, right before the major dinner rush and have a snack later)

Anyways hope this helps!Going to Disney World on a budget. Can you offer money saving tips, including a nice Hotel for 6 people?
That is soooo easy to answer you have to stay at http://vistacayholidays-px.rtrk.com/ the place is beautiful and it is nicely priced I paid 600 dollars for three nights and the condo was over 1,800 square feet, two bathrooms, four bedrooms a full dinning area, full kitchen (better than what is at my house) completely furnished with a pool house. We saved so much money we only had our lunch and snacks at the theme parks. We would cook a full breakfast at the condo and cook or order out a meal for dinner, you must check out their website. I am headed back in 2 weeks and i will only stay at Vista when I am in Orlando!Going to Disney World on a budget. Can you offer money saving tips, including a nice Hotel for 6 people?
Most standard hotel rooms accommodate 4 people, so I recommend a villa, vacation home or suite

Disney has their Family Suites at the All-Star Music resort. I think they're $182 depending on the season.

Otherwise your cheaper choice is renting a house with All Star Vacation Homes. Prices start around $99 a night! You'll get your own pool!

If you go through the Allears.net site, you can get a discount!

If all that fails... try going through a travel agency that specializes in Disney. I've used www.mousefantravel.com several times and they're real good. They give free quotes and have no fees. They don't only book at Disney hotels.

Also, www.allears.net site has a lot of good ideas on how to save money.

http://allears.net/acc/vhomes.htm

There are some villas out there, but be aware that some are timeshare properties and will pressure you into buying one!
always check online for promotion codes and discounts and there are season specials look for all that oh! if you go to the website and sign up with Disney you become a member which in tittles you to group specials and family packages...

Does anyone know a good place to book a disney vacation?

I plan to take a disney vacation with my husband and two daughters ages 2 and 7 in June. Can anyone tell me where the best attractions are, the best places to eat, ect... I have never been there so any information would be wonderful. Also where did you book your trip through? I need a not cheap but cost friendly trip.Does anyone know a good place to book a disney vacation?
First off Disney is the best place to take your family. I am only 18 years old and I have been there 9 times. Before we go in June we stop by Borders to pick up a Disney book that tells us all of the cool new rides, great places to eat, and where the best hotels are(i think burnbaums makes the book each year) If you are looking for a nice hotel try the Disney Pop Century Hotel. It is very nice with a pretty affordable price. The best attractions for your family would probably be in the Magic Kingdom since you have two younger kids. The best places to eat are: Chef Mickeys in the contemporary resort, the hibachi grill in Epcot(Japan to be exact) and the crystal palace in the magic kingdom. Since we always drive down(22 hours) we have never booked a vacation through anyone...sorry. Make sure you make a stop at downtown Disney it is a great shopping place. Also make sure you at least get to all of the parks(Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom) Overall I hope you have a great vacation and Disney is the best place ever!!!! Good Luck and I hope this helped!

Does it bother anyone else that the newest Disney Princess has bad grammar and an attitude problem?

The new movie The Princess and the Frog is the first disney movie to have princess with black skin color and she does nothing but feed negative stereotypes. Do they really expect this to be one of their wholesome family classics?Does it bother anyone else that the newest Disney Princess has bad grammar and an attitude problem?
In the faity tale story of the Princess and the Frog she had an attitude problem so it's not Disney making her that way. That's just the way the story was written originally.

Can anyone give me more information about the disney career start program?

I am soon to start the disney career start program in June of the this year and I just wanted to know if there is anyone who has gone through the program if they could answer some questions that I have like does most people who apply get the job and how does the college credit part work? How many times do I go to class and will I ever have free time to go to the parks? These are questions I have been dying to know! So if anyone can answer these I would appreciate it deeply! Can anyone give me more information about the disney career start program?
Of course you can go to the parks in your free time, and it's free(or discounted)! As far as holidays go, you may have to work up to an extra 45 hours as a cast member. The housing is great, I live in Chatham Square, and I have a four bedroom apartment there. Credits, knowledge applied by the working area of your choice. For instance, Pediatrics, deals with smaller children rides in MGM for me. I can observe the kids and behaivour while operating, touring, presenting rides. I am currently employed at MGM, I run the Tower of Terror with a few buddies, and some of the kidy rides. As far as jobs go, if you are applying for anything in relation with Disney, Hotels, the Boardwalk, or Downtown Disney, you may have to wait for openings. Go for the Boardwalk, you can entertain and get tips! For more information go to the following website:

Have Fun, and maybe see you there!!!!Can anyone give me more information about the disney career start program?
I worked as a Cast Member as part of the WDW College Program and it was an awesome experience!

Disney hired thousands of interns and other CT;s and CP's every year. If you have a positive attitude and decent grades at the college you are attending... odds are, you'll get the job. As far as college credit - that depends on your college or University. You're going to be so busy working and playing in Orlando that I don't recommend you taking any online classes from your University. One of my roommates did that and we never saw her. She was always studying or on her computer, taking tests. I was lucky enough to find a marketing professor who said he'd give me 3 credits of marketing if I'd keep a journal of my experience (work wise) for the first 3 weeks. I also took advantage of a class that Disney offered - although it didn't count toward credit for my university, it was well worth the experience and it didn't cost anything. All I had to buy was a book and it was cheap.

Talk it over with your college's academic advisor before you leave about gaining credit. Just remember that you will be guaranteed a minimum of 32 hours per week and often more in the busy time (4th of July, Christmas, etc...), so don't tie yourself down with classes from your University. Take the time off and enjoy your Disney experience. Its worth it to fall a little behind - trust me.

You'll have plenty of free time and your managers will actually encourage you to spend your free time at the parks! This will help you to better serve the guests when you are working.

And you'll get in for free - so enjoy! I had a blast!

Its going to be super warm and humid when you head out there, so be ready. Pack breatheable fabrics which wick away moisture and good shoes (I love Crocs Sandals for walking at the parks - they are the perfect park shoe). Your costume will be most likely made of a lovely blend between polyester and cotton, so it won't help you any - but at least you only have to wear it for a few hours at a time. :)

If you'd like to run any other questions by me, I'd be happy to answer them. Email me at: disneymickeyvacation@yahoo.com

Good luck and have a great time!

  • Would it be feasible to bring one of those small suitcases on wheels to Disney World?

I will be traveling to Disney World with my daughter and 3 grandboys. Would it be feasible to bring one of those rolling suitcases through the park to carry souvenirs, goodies, etc? Or would it just be a bother and inconvenience.Would it be feasible to bring one of those small suitcases on wheels to Disney World?
Actually, they are pretty particular about wheels according to policy. But depending on who the Cast Members on duty are, they may let you in with it.

Technically the policy says: "Wheels that are allowed in the parks: strollers, wheelchairs, motorized wheelchairs and electric conveyance vehicles (ECVs)."

This prohibits skateboards, bicycles, heely's shoes, and I would assume, wheeled suitcases. Personally, I wouldn't risk it.Would it be feasible to bring one of those small suitcases on wheels to Disney World?
It is okay to bring one with you, but what are going to do with it during the rides? They rent strollers, but you can't keep stuff in there without keeping it guarded. People tend to take stuff when unattended. Personally, I wouldn't bring it.Would it be feasible to bring one of those small suitcases on wheels to Disney World?
Well, they will search it when going into the park, at least they do at Disneyland, CA. I feel that it would be more of an inconvenience as you have to find somewhere safe for it whenever you go on a ride. You could do what I do at Disneyland and rent a locker once you go in the park. You can then drop your stuff off from time to time as it accumulates. It does cost money to relock it however it frees you up from having something to carry or trundle along behind you. If you are not too far from the park you may want to take a mid-day break, especially if the children are young. If so then take what you have accumulated back to your hotel. One other option would be to set aside a "souvenier shopping" time. I did this on my last trip, I purchased my "major souveniers" (jackets, clothing) all at once and brought them back to the hotel. This gave me time to enjoy the park without worrying about them.

If you do decide to take one, it would be best if it was in your control so that means that you and your daughter would have to alternate rides so that one had it at all times.

What would you suggest to bring on a trip to Disney World Florida?

More Supplies, convenience things, and other things you have found helpful on a trip to Disney...What would you suggest to bring on a trip to Disney World Florida?
Pick up some ponchos from the dollar store for yourself and your family before your trip and carry them with you. You never know when you're going to get rained on in Disney and you will probably spend less money on ponchos for your entire family from the dollar store than you will on one in the parks.

Getting a few Disney gift cards can be very convenient for use in the parks. You won't have to carry as much cash and you don't have all the change that tends to build up weighing your bag down.

How crowded is Disney World during Martin Luther King Holiday Weekend? Maybe the week before and after.

Like June or August crowds? Worse or better?

Thank you very much!!!How crowded is Disney World during Martin Luther King Holiday Weekend?
It will be busy but not nearly as bad as it is in the summer months. Plus it's not as hot so any crowds are much more tolerable. Hope this helps! Have a great time! How crowded is Disney World during Martin Luther King Holiday Weekend?
According to yourfirstvisit.net, MLK weekend is one of the worst 8 weeks to visit. Any long holiday weekend is going to bring out the crowds at Disneyw World. Furthermore, ride and attraction closures are more likely during January and February. How crowded is Disney World during Martin Luther King Holiday Weekend?
I think the parks aren't that bad in mid/end of january ...

sorry never been during that time..

I know in end of February like 20th-28th ish is good. The crowds aren't bad at all because not all places have school vacation. Also,I think August is good too cuz some places go back to school.

I don't even think there should be a Disney CHANNEL!!
Ya i said that in one of my questions.

It would make room for the REAL celebrities :) but no offense if you like the disney people

It would be easier though so that all of the people who are "haterz" could answer questions in the celebrity category in peace

I would much enjoy not seeing all the disney questions :) cause I would never go to that section if they made one :)

I hope they doWho thinks there should be a disney channel section?
i do, i think there should be a jonas brothers and miley cyrus section too. they can call it something like pre teen. Then I wouldn't have to listen to any non informative answers and qustions that i havent wondered about in years. There should be an adult yahoo answers and a preteen yahoo answers.

My family is going to Disney world later this summer and in an attempt to save money I was wondering if the camelbak type backpacks are allowed in the park. Are visitors to Disney Parks allowed to wear camelbak type hydration packs?
Yes, I have one and always bring mine. Are visitors to Disney Parks allowed to wear camelbak type hydration packs?
Yes absolutely you can wear them. You can also take your own bottled water and snacks, but a hydration pack is going to be the way to go. You can even take it on the rides with you. Backpacks are definately the way to go at Disney parks! Are visitors to Disney Parks allowed to wear camelbak type hydration packs?
oh i didnt know those existed but seeing the pictures in google make me want to buy one! they look cool and im sure it saves a lot of money...bottles of water are pricey!

i say go for it :)
Absolutely. There are a lot zanier things @ Disney and no one will stop you from wearing something like that, especially in hot weather.

Who do you think was the most and least attractive Disney Princess?

I think the most attractive was Cinderella.

I think the least attractive was Mulan. Her face just looked plain to me. (I know Mulan isn't technically a princess, but Disney likes to lump her in that group)

What do you think?Who do you think was the most and least attractive Disney Princess?
I agree with you 100%! Mulan is the most unattractive to me. Cinderella, Snow White, Tianna were pretty. Not really anyone else oh! Well Belle to, but yes Mulan wasn't that pretty.

    Cinderella - 85%

    Snow White - 70%

    Tianna - 65%

    Belle - 65%

    Aura - 50%

    Ariel - 45%

    Pocahontas - 35%

    Mulan - 30%
    Most attractive: Jasmine

Least attractive: Snow WhiteWho do you think was the most and least attractive Disney Princess?
    most to me is jasmine

the least for me is probably pocahontas
    Most= Cinderella

Least= Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)Who do you think was the most and least attractive Disney Princess?
Cinderella the prettiest, and Arial not so much.
They are are pretty and attractive
    Most: Tinkerbell and Ariel

    Least: snow white, i think
I really liked Ariel! I think she's pretty. Snow White wasn't very cute at all.

What has disney channel come to these days?

In the 1900s - 2005, disney channel was all about animation and funny programmes, but things...are different now.

Now they have high school musical with girls snogging the faces off boys and posing nude for pictures on the internet like with High School Musical, this sets an unbelievably bad example for children!

Your thoughts? What has disney channel come to these days?
I agree with you on this one.

It's exactly the same with nickelodeon, boomerang, cartoon network, etc.

I agree. All the disney channel is about nowadays is finding people who can act AND sing and try and turn them into celebrities like the HSM cast. I personally find disney channel 'stars' like Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez annoying (though I respect that many may like them). I remember when the Disney channel was actually ABOUT disney characters, and had GOOD shows. But now... as you said, things are different. :(What has disney channel come to these days?
So many kids out there adore High School Musical. It isn't even like College these days. Its like a terrible remake of Grease.

There are some good shows on Disney i just believe that they have grown to modern these days like, Mickey Mouse and so on aren't on anymore because of the kinds of people working at DISNEY!!!
I don't dislike it because I think the stars are bad role models, I just dislike it because it's so cheesy, manufactured, and false. What has disney channel come to these days?
TRASHY CHANNEL NOW - OUT TO MAKE A BUCK

DISNEY THREW THEIR MORALS OUT THE WINDOW

NOW WE HAVE TO TURN OF THE DISNEY CHANNEL AT HOME
    I agree.

And they also show too many of the same episodes on Disney Channel

    Shame on you Disney
Well that is true, but kids dont know that when they are watching it.
    high school musical sucks ***.
    no i dont think so.

What are some fun things for little girls in Disney World?

I have a little 4yr old sister and were taking here to Disney. I want to do something special for her. We already are doing princess and winnie the pooh dinners. I want to make her feel like a princess but i dont want to spend a fortune. Any Ideas Will Help Me Greatly If Reservations Are Needed Let Me KnowWhat are some fun things for little girls in Disney World?
They have a hair salon that is great for little girls. She can get a style and some sparkles/gems added to her hair...super cool! Not sure if appts are needed and I don't know too much about it...I think they have it on Main Street in Magic Kingdom?

Oh thought of something else I did when kiddos were small. Tinkerbell (adult costumed person) flies (ziplines) out of the top of the castle at the beginning of the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. She has light up wings and is very "magical!" We told our girls that if they wave and Tinks sees them...she will visit that night with a special suprised for her biggest fan.

At night once they were asleep I would pull out a small gift (something Disney themed...I usually just bought it at Walmart before the trip and hid it in the suitcase or back of car) in the hotel room. I would sprinkle silver glitter around it to be "pixie dust."

The girls LOVED it...they thought Tink had really slipped into the hotel room (cause she can be so tiny you know...) It was pretty cheap and definitely magical!!!What are some fun things for little girls in Disney World?
Get her one of those cute princess dresses. You can get one there, or even from walmart before you go. Looking like the princess she is will surely make her excited.

And take her to the princess room. I didn't get to do that when I went, sadly, but you can meet all of the princesses there! Not sure if you would need a reservation or not, though.

Also, I really recommend Fantasmic. It's beautiful! What are some fun things for little girls in Disney World?
There is a hair/dress up salon (it is the bibbidi bobbidi boutique). in Downtown disney I believe, that transformes little girls into princesses!! Hair, make up, dresses, all of it. Beware it can get pricey...
dress her up as a princess. go to the bibbidi bobbidi boutique. see below.

    hopefuly soon :)
    Hispanic isn't a race idiot

you mean a "mixed race" princess?

the idea of there being a lot of mixed race people claiming "mixed race" and not black in the USA is rather NEW

you can't compare that with having a black princess, since black people have been hear since the white man brought us over here from Africa as slavesWhen is Disney going to have a Hispanic princess?
they have like every demographic except hispanic i see your point.
there's 2 fairy tales left the princess and the pea and the 12 dancing princesses.
i think the 12 dancing princesses is a hispanic fairy tale lets cross our fingers.
i think it's because we all know a spanish princess will not put up with all that crap just to get a prince haha. idk, it'd be nice to see one though. and i agree fairytales are fake, maybe latinas are too real for the world to handle. When is Disney going to have a Hispanic princess?
im not judgemental about disney, i appreciate all their movies!!!

but i would also like to see an australian one :)
Most Disney princesses are from fictional places
Never, since all Disney princesses speak English, not Spanish or any other language.

    Regards.
You should try for the part.
Tbh i don't care if Disney have green, blue, grey or red characters.
I don't think I care much what color Disney characters are.
when did that black princess get there?

Who are the Best and worst disney Heroines?

    Who do you think is

    the Smartest/ Dumbest

    Prettiest/Hideous

    Best Personality/ Worst Personality

My sister and I curious so no rules apply. This is just for fun. Try to think about all the disney animated movies and their female lead roles. Thanks 4 sharing your opinion!Who are the Best and worst disney Heroines?
Dumb: Snow White. Why would you eat something that a complete stranger (a creepy complete stranger) brings to your front door? In the original storyline, Snow White takes treats from the same witch 3 times and has to be brought back to life 3 times. She sounds pretty stupid to me.

Prettiest: Cinderella. A fairy godmother made her beautiful - how could there possibly be any errors there? Anytime anyone thinks about being as beautiful as a princess, it seems like they always are thinking about Cinderella.

Smartest: Jasmine. She is pretty self sufficient. She doesn't just sit around and wait for someone to save her - she does things for herself. She helps trick Jafar and helps to save Aladdin.

Best Personality: Belle. She is outgoing %26amp; friendly to everyone - even people who aren't very nice to her like the townspeople %26amp; Gaston. She can even befriend the beast %26amp; a bunch of talking furniture. You'd have to be a pretty cool person to be able to tolerate all that.

Worst Personality: Sleeping Beauty. I feel like she just remains silent all the time. When the fairies are arguing over the pink %26amp; blue dress, she can't even give her opinion. It's like she just goes along with the motions of life. She's just kind of blase to me.

I can't really think of any of the lead heroins who are hideous, since Disney always makes them pretty.Who are the Best and worst disney Heroines?

It's for people who are traveling there and want to know which characters are where. I will be taking my daughter and 3 grandboys to Disney World. Does anyone know if they allow outside food to be brought onto the Disney Grounds? I know some places are fussy about that. (They want you to buy their food and spend money there.) I would prefer making sandwiches and bringing them with us. Same with water and drinks. Can anyone give me advice? Thank you.Are you allowed to bring your own food into Disney World in Florida?
Technically you're not allowed, but they don't say anything, even if they see it in your backpack/bag when they search it. Lots of people bring food in.
yes you can bring food in backpacks or other carrying bags- no coolers. But, food IN the park is not as expensive as people try to make you think it is- really! Bringing your own bottled water IS a good idea because if it's hot, you'll spend A LOT on their water- but I would only do this if I had a stroller with a basket to hold it as it gets ridiculously heavy to carry around! Are you allowed to bring your own food into Disney World in Florida?
    you can make this.
Yes, you can bring food. I don't believe coolers are allowed, but anything that you can put into a bag it ok. My family has been doing this for years! However, I would recommend "Pecos Bill Tall Tales Inn and Cafe" located in Frontierland. Its a burger/hot dog joint that is reasonably priced and it has self serve stations for unlimited sauteed onions, mushrooms, saurkraut, and cheese-my family always ordered fries or just hotdogs and filled up unlimited times on the toppings. It was so yummy! Are you allowed to bring your own food into Disney World in Florida?
Yes, Disney allows you to bring outside food %26amp; drinks into all of its parks. However, NO alchoholic beverages or glass containers. Be prepared to have your bags/coolers searched.
Disney really doesn't like you to bring your own food into the parks but they won't tell you can't either. We bring food into the parks with us everytime we go. You just can't take coolers. We take sandwiches, chips, bottles of water. Security does go through your bags but they don't say anything about you bringing food in. Just carry it in a backpack or a lite weight bag. We use a backpack and it works great for us. Have fun. We will be there in Nov.
You may bring some snacks or drinks in your bag. But you cannot bring a cooler. I do suggest bringing your own water bottles. That will save you some money.

What is the best college/university I could go to in Illinois if I wanted to work for Dreamworks, Disney?

and Bluesky Studios as a storyboard artist? You see, there's these lists of great colleges and one is in Columbus, OH, another called Ringling, in FL and another good one in CA. But....what's the closest thing in Illinois to that? These 3 schools are known for having a great art program specifically designed for people wanting to get into Disney or Dreamworks. What is the best college/university I could go to in Illinois if I wanted to work for Dreamworks, Disney?
The University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign - they have a wonderful art program and I highly recommend that you check it out. Also in Champaign is Parkland Community College, you might want to check them also, they use to have and I believe that they still do, a very good, two-year Graphic Arts program. Good luck on realizing your dream!

Are there any rides at Disney World that are ok for pregnant women to ride?

I am not pregnant (as far as I know), but my husband and I do want to go to Disney World sometime in the near future. However, I am perfectly willing to postpone the trip if necessary (I love roller coasters haha). I know that roller coasters are pretty much out, but what are some of the rides that are safe for a pregnant person? Are there any rides at Disney World that are ok for pregnant women to ride?
there are TONS of rides that pregnant women can ride.

it would take too long to name them all.

i think it would be easier to tell you the rides you shouldn't go on.

    thunder mountain

    space mountain

    splash mountain

    stitch's great escape

    mision space

    soarin

    test track

    rock n roller coaster

    tower of terror

    expedition everest

    kali river rapids

    dinosaur.

    and thats about it.

you can pretty much go on everything else.

and there are soooooo many more rides!!!

pretty much just don't go on the ones that have warnings infront of the ride that say don't ride if you are an expecting mother.

if you love roller coasters that much maybe you should postpone cuz their thrill rides are really awesome.

but don't worry you will have alot of fun even if you can't go on the thrill rides cuz they have so many other rides that you can go on.

have fun!Are there any rides at Disney World that are ok for pregnant women to ride?
I've only been to Disneyland, but the ride warnings will say "Expectant Mothers Should Not Ride". Avoid Mad Tea Party, roller coasters (which you already know), and the backwards seats on Casey Jr.'s Circus Train.

Go on Peter Pan's Flight! Great ride!!!!Are there any rides at Disney World that are ok for pregnant women to ride?
What the last person said was great! But also I wanted to tell you in the brochures it shows what rides would be good for you! Hope you have fun!

Is space mountain in walt disney world different from the one in disneyland?

My wife and I have been to Walt Disney World in Orlando several times and we're heading out to California to see the Disneyland park. I heard there are differences between the two space mountain rides - is that true?Is space mountain in walt disney world different from the one in disneyland?
Disneyland didn't have the room that Disney World had to build the coaster, so they had to scale it down. Disney World has 2 tracks, the Alpha %26amp; Omega. Disneyland only has 1 track. I far prefer the Disneyland version, as it is a smoother ride, and feels much more "spacey". It's also a bit faster. Disney World's is a lot jerkier, like the Wild Mouse, with quick %26amp; abrupt stops. The types of tracks used feel completely different.

I thought the theming of Disneyland's was better too, and it was a bit longer. Disney World's version is 2 minutes, 30 seconds long, while Disneyland's is nearly 3 minutes. Have fun visiting Disneyland - I took my first visit there last year after 19 visits to Disney World!

Is Disney Quest worth going to with kids?

We are going in june, we go to Orlando every year and always go to Disney. We have been to Downtown Disney but never to Disney Quest. We have the no expiry tickets that include the water parks and disney quest etc, our kids are 5 and 6, I was wondering should we take them to Disney Quest this year or are they too young?

Does it get very busy and does that take away the enjoyment?

Do you have to pay for anything other than food when you are in?

Is there a best time of day/night to go and how long would you spend in there?

Thanks. Is Disney Quest worth going to with kids?
If they like video games, then they will love it. We went to Disney World last June and on one of the days the weather was pretty bad so we went there and my 6 and 10 year old really liked it. Also, being that you're going in June when it's VERY hot and humid, I think it'd be a great way to get out of the heat.

-It wasn't too busy when we went last June

-No, you do not have to pay for anything other then food unless you choose. They have a few activities like a sound booth the kids can make there own cd and and a artist corner to learn to draw the characters. They are free to do but if you want a cd or drawing they cost extra.

-We went mid day and stayed until the evening. There is a lot to do in there.

    Have Fun!!
Personally I would say they are too young.

Check out all the details on the allears website below then you can decide what your children might enjoy and whether it is worth it.Is Disney Quest worth going to with kids?
They might be old enough. There is a lot and plenty for everyone. Useful if you get caught out by freak bad weather.
    Hello,

My guess would be the busiest time to go to Disney Quest would be anyday at night, during the weekends (as Dowtown Disney is free to everyone) and during any rainy days.

I've never been there myself but the reviews I've heard from others are 50/50. Some people love it, some think it wasn't worth the money or the time. If you're kids are gamers and into video games then it may be fun for them.

I have also heard that once you get in you still have to pay for some of the bigger virtual rides such as the pirate ride and the create your own roller coaster.

Since you already have the free pass inside it can't hurt to peak around for a few hours but I would never pay extra money to go there. Is Disney Quest worth going to with kids?
Went in 2008 with my 8 year old NOT WORTH IT. Not very disney like, dirty. There are much better things to do. We were there less than 2 hours. Go to tripadvisor.com and check reviews It was a real disappointment. The rest of WDW was great ,been there the last 6 years
Disney Quest can be a ton of fun with your kids, but the crowds d tend to take away form the experience, I also might wait just a few more years before you take them, even then I remember going and I was confused as anything.

What is the least amount of hours you can work in Disney World ?

I was wondering if any Castmembers can help me out. I live in Orlando and have always wanted to work at Walt Disney World. I have a full time job right now , so I was looking for something part time. I only have one day a week to work there. Do all employees get park benefits ? Any advice from present or former Disney workers would be appreciated. Thank you. What is the least amount of hours you can work in Disney World ?
There is a human resources department you can ask not far from DTD. And yes, you get benefits, free admission to the Disny parks, discounts on food, merchandise, hotel stays...

I know they let College kids come back and only work a couple weeks a year, so it can't hurt to ask!

What is the weather like in October for Disney World?

We are going to Disney World at the beginning of October, and I was just wondering what the weather is like?

What kind of clothes will I need to wear?

Do you think it will rain?

Thanks (:What is the weather like in October for Disney World?
Perfect time to go. See site below for the usual weather. What is the weather like in October for Disney World?
We went in late September to early October 2010 and the weather was great. It was still warm enough for our kids to enjoy the pool at the resort but it wasn't miserably hot in the parks.

Keep in mind that October falls during Florida's hurricane season, so if a hurricane is happening at the time there could be storms in Orlando, but it's very unlikely that the parks will close. There's just that chance of rain. But if there are no hurricanes around Florida at the time you go, the weather will be perfect. What is the weather like in October for Disney World?
Mid-late October is the best time for us. We have previously gone in '93 %26amp; '97 at that time, and are planning our next trip for this October, combined with a Disney Cruise. It is well worth it to take the kids out of school. My theory is that it's something that they will always remember--I vividly remember my childhood trip there when I was 9. I can't say the same for my entire 3rd grade year! The weather has always been perfect, temps in the mid-high 80's, warm enough to swim, with very little or no rain. It's a running joke in our family that Disney Magic prevents it from raining there. I know many can disagree, but any time it has rained when we've been there, it's either been at night, while we were on an attraction or in a restaurant (and had stopped by the time we left), and even more amazingly, it could be raining in Kissimmee, but not in WDW! We would experience rain as we drove into WDW, or as we were leaving, but never really when we were there. Th! is happened enough to actually craw our attention to it. Anyhow, this time we will be staying on property, so we will see if our theory holds up!

Does anyone else feel like the actors in Disney shows seem to exaggerate their lines?

Sometimes I think it's a bit too over the top.

For example: The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Hannah Motana. Raven. Phil of the Future. Lizzie Mcguire.

I actually like some of these shows, but I'm just noticing that the lines are delivered with way too much gusto.

Everything's exaggerated and phony. Was that how Disney intended?Does anyone else feel like the actors in Disney shows seem to exaggerate their lines?
They intend it so kids can understand it better. When they yell or go crazy or make weird hand gestures, it's all because they're pandering to children. The kids like it like that.Does anyone else feel like the actors in Disney shows seem to exaggerate their lines?
I think so. The Disney shows are so badly acted that is funny. For example, Jonas...I mean come on! The lines are so ridiculous and, as you said, it is soooo over exaggerated. Franky, I think Disney is losing more and more credibility by the day. The actors are horrible...the shows are dumb...its going down the drain.

I do indeed think that it was intended to be that way and I think these shows insult our intelligence.Does anyone else feel like the actors in Disney shows seem to exaggerate their lines?
Yes, it's a deliberate style for children's TV. From the director, not the actors. It's not meant to be 'realistic drama' in that sense.

What are some other names for Walt Disney World?

I was wondering if anybody had any other clever phrases such as that one that refer to walt disney world. Thanks! What are some other names for Walt Disney World?
Be creative w/the acronym. Although "WDW" is short for "Walt Disney World", you can play w/the letters to coincide w/your speech theme/premise. For example...

    %26gt; "WDW, Where Dreamers Work"

    %26gt; "WDW, Where Dreams Waken"

Remember, Walt was all about dreaming AND doing ("Dreamers %26amp; Doers" as he would put it). Read up on Walt to understand the man, his visions, his creations.

I won't give you more b/c the rest is up to you. Thinking outside-the-box was 2nd nature to Walt. Your speech needs to reflect this. If you opt for the run-of-the-mill catch phrases for Disney, then you're just not getting it; you're not indicating any comprehension of Walter E. Why are they so many incidents/accidents in Disney Parks compare to rival company Universal Studios?

Why are they are so many accidents in Disney Parks compare to the Universal parks? LAst time i checked Universal Studios was low compare to that. Was it because Disneyland attracts more people or something even though most of their rides are not as hardcore as universal studios? What are many reasons in your opinion? Why are they so many incidents/accidents in Disney Parks compare to rival company Universal Studios?
"So many"? You make it sound is if there are a lot. When you consider that over half a BILLION people have gone to Disneyland (not even counting DCA) since it opened, that's really not many at all. And the injury rates make sense when you consider that Disneyland has over 70 rides, and Universal only has 4 moving rides. All the rest are sit-down shows.

Most of the incidents at Disneyland involve guest misconduct or error, as well.

And people love to report on Disneyland. They are a big target.

As a passholder, I go about once a week to Disneyland. I and my family follow all safety rules, and the only time we have suffered an injury is when my youngest was sitting on a chain in a queue, and fell backwards. She got a bump, that's all. We feel very safe inside Disney parks. Why are they so many incidents/accidents in Disney Parks compare to rival company Universal Studios?
    - The history of the strong competition between Universal Studios and The Walt Disney Company has been going on since the days of Walt Disney before Mickey Mouse and Woody Woodpecker - with The Disney Company being the obnoxious side in almost all instances.

In the 1920's, Walt Disney originally envisioned the character of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit as his company's mascot. However, due to double agents, the character ended up in Universal's hands, who marketed him as their own. The incident angered the Disney Company and resulted in Universal having to stray from using Oswald for years. As a result, Walt Disney had to abandon using Oswald as the Disney mascot, and instead created Mortimor Mouse (who would later become known as Mickey Mouse). Why are they so many incidents/accidents in Disney Parks compare to rival company Universal Studios?
I have never thought about it, but would have to say your speculation on the numbers of visitors has a lot to do with it. I have never been to either amusement park, so I do not know there relative sizes for sure, but I think Disney's Parks a larger than Universal Studios Parks.

How do you think you would get a disney contract?

I'm trying to become a singer, and I really really want this. And I'm VERY commited. I want this so bad, but I'm not sure how get disney's attention. Any ideas? How do you think you would get a disney contract?
These days, HYPE done right can make ANYONE a "talented star", sad to say---but all so true. Have Mom and Dad fork up A LOT of $$$ to hire the best PR team to HYPE YOU UP to the "connected people". Also have you and parents work TIRELESSLY AGGRESSIVE as a non-stop team to get you that right exposure to other "connected people", too.

It's a dice roll--but that's how many "Disney Darlings" made it big.

From there, it's sometimes an ugly game of people politics---just be smart enough to avoid the alcohol and illegal drug abuses prevalent "behind the scenes"; they may be the hot party doll now.....but 10 years later, they're puking up guts in Dr. Drew's drug rehab reality show program.

Take a clear hard look at some fading "Disney Darlings", like Britney ( a poster child fine example )---note how messed up her life's NOW become. Do YOU want such a life? Is Brit's miserable, dysfunctional life really worth the wealth she's NOW losing????

Face facts, kiddo: Today's young and famous really can't handle the lifestyle; they rushed in too fast, made "the cut" and now---they realize they made a "rich mistake".

Can YOU REALLY handle sacrificing your privacy and sanity for global fame and $$$$???
you dontHow do you think you would get a disney contract?
Maybe you can start singing on youtube or something...

    OR

send Disney an e-mail with a link to your singing...Or send them a letter telling them how much you want this, etc, etc.

    Hope this helps!!
disney channel fails. How do you think you would get a disney contract?
Please dont! They all become fuzzed up people as can be seen by the following 3 case studies:

    1. Vanessa Hudgens - teen porn star

    2. Miley Cyrus - teen stripper, shallow-minded

    3. Jonas Brothers - hypocritical purity ring advertisings and probably bi-sexual.
Do you have an agent? Sign up with a talent agency. Disney sometimes does world wide searches for actors/singers on new shows, and Miley Cyrus can't last forever so pretty soon they'll be trying to replace her with the next big thing.

You will never find out about the Disney auditions without an agent. You could become big on the internet like those young singing sensations, but where are they now? Are you getting voice lessons? Acting lessons? Very important, you have to have the full package these days.

    Good luck.
Keep calling them, emailing them, sending them videos, just KEEP AT IT!

Make a video of you singing. SEND IT TO THEM!!! Write an email explaining that you really want this and you have some raw material that you think is worth them checking out. SEND IT TO THEM!!! Find their number in the phone book and if someone answers, ask them if they can put you in contact with a casting agent. Tell the casting agent that you can sing. Just blurt that out like this, (Speaking quickly, loudly and clearly) "I can sing!" Have a REEEEEEEALLY good song that you're good at singing. One that enhances your amazing voice and sparkling vocals. SING IT TO THEM!!!

See where that takes you. Make sure your parents know about your phone calls, emails, videos, letters, etc because sometimes you'll get a role and your parents won't agree with you getting involved with show biz so early in life. (I would know, my sister HAD the role of Alex Russo but she couldn't because she snuck behind Mom's back and auditioned... plus, she had been caught smoking and Mom didn't trust her anymore) So get permission and get SINGING!!!!

What would be the total number of casualties if a strong tornado ripped through Disney World in Florida?

The time I am referring to is around "Peak Season", which is when Walt Disney World is mostly crowded with people. I know this might be an odd question, but this stuff can actually happen. I know also that the place has its own weather station, and tornadoes don't happen around there that much. I'm just asking how bad it would be if a twister came without warning.

And by tornado, I mean a strong one (from F3-F5).What would be the total number of casualties if a strong tornado ripped through Disney World in Florida?
Well, tornadoes do not happen without warning.

If a tornado did happen to strike WDW, there would be numerous injuries and fatalities.
It wouldn't come "without warning"--especially an EF3-EF5, and especially during the day when most people are there. Basically, the number of people that would die would be the number of people who don't do what they're supposed to and don't follow the guidelines. What would be the total number of casualties if a strong tornado ripped through Disney World in Florida?
A total of 6 (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto).

There is a FL resident rate availabe at the gate, but only for everything but a one-day pass. The one day pass you have to buy ahead of time and pick it up at will call. It is $72 when purchased in advance. No matter how you order your tickets (whether at the gate or online) you will have to pick them up at the window and show proof of FL residency. Also, until May 20, 2009 they are offering a 2 day pass for $99 plus tax. You can purchase this ticket at the gate for the same price.

Is Disney World crowded during the last week of March?

Haha yeah not much too it. It will be my first time going to Disney World and I was just wondering how bad the lines were during the last week of March. :)Is Disney World crowded during the last week of March?
It will be pretty bad. Try touringplans.com It will tell you which parks will be the worst on what days and what ones to avoid.
Yes, it will be crowded. This is the time that elementary, high school and colleges have spring break. Plan your times at the parks accordingly. If you stay onsite, take advantage of the extra Magic hours that Disney offers it's onsite resort guests. Also, if you have a phone that has internet data access, you can use a app called Ride Hopper while you are in the parks. It gives you up to date information regarding wait times for all the attractions in each theme park and water park. This will help you go to the least crowded attractions. Remember to use Fastpass as well while you are there. Is Disney World crowded during the last week of March?
It's gonna be pretty crowded, because you're going in the general spring break time frame. But hey, I went on New Year's Eve, possibly the most crowded day of the year, to Magic Kingdom, and I was able to go on all the most popular rides in less than 3 hours. Just get there really early, at opening, and you won't have a problem
Historically, the spring break crowds come in from mid-March to mid-April, so you will be there during the crowded time. You can expect the popular rides to exceed an hour wait time pretty quickly. Is Disney World crowded during the last week of March?
well between mid march and easter is quite crowded due to spring break and easter break so yep its gonna be crowded during the last week in march.
One of the best times to go. Still, Saturdays are always the worst, so plan accordingly.

What are some fun games a bunch of teenages can play during a Disney Movie Marathon?

I'm hosting a party and we're going to try to watch as many Disney movies as possible... but obviously, that would get boring eventually so I'm planning games to play in between the movies that HAVE to be disney related to keep us going as long as possible... what I've got so far...

    -Disney Movie Quiz

    -Name that Bad Guy

-QuotesWhat are some fun games a bunch of teenages can play during a Disney Movie Marathon?
They have a Disney Trivial Persuit game that's on DVD. It would be really fun. :-)

Disney Karoeke would be great too! What are some fun games a bunch of teenages can play during a Disney Movie Marathon?
If you want to buy anything, they have lots of games - I have Disney Trivial Pursuit, Disney Clue, and Disney Monopoly. They also have Disney Scene It and I'm sure there's others.

You could buy a couple of Disney puzzles cheaply at Wal-Mart or somewhere.

Which Disney park is the best for a couple 14 year olds?

I am going to Florida and I wanted to know which Disney park is best for two 14 y/o and a 12 y/o. I know I don't want to go to MGM. And I heard that Magic Kingdom was more of a little kid park but can that place entertain teens too?Which Disney park is the best for a couple 14 year olds?
if you're only going to one park, i would definitely recommend Magic Kingdom. It's my favorite park at disney and i'm 16. a lot of people think it's just a little kid park but i love it there, and you really get the disney experience.

the rides there aren't really extremely thrilling, but that doesn't mean they aren't tons of fun. i LOVE thrill rides and yet i'd choose magic kingdom over any park.

here are just some of my favorite attractions at MK that you should check out:

    -pirates of the caribbean

    -jungle cruise

-splash mountain (my favorite ride there)

    -big thunder mountain railroad

    -peter pan's flight

    -haunted mansion

    -mickey's philharmagic

-space mountain (closed for refurb til nov. 2009)

-tomorrowland transit authority (closed for refurb til august 2009)

    -astro orbiter

those are just some i can think of off the top of my head.

    have fun!
    It depends what you like.

Epcot has the countries and future world stuff.

Not that many rides, but a lot of different cultures and stuff to learn about.

(Even though you aren't going here) Hollywood Studios has rides like the Rockin' Roller Coaster %26amp; the Tower of Terror (My two favorite rides) and they have stuff about Hollywood stuff, making of movies, etc.

Animal Kingdom has animals to look at and it's more of a jungle kind of park but still has rides like Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, and Dino Land.

Magic Kingdom has a lot of variety. They have frontier land with Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, but also has quite a bit of rides for little kids. Don't forget to see the fireworks show in Magic Kingdom. It truly touches your heart. Don't get directly infront of the castle though, you won't see the fireworks. Stand around the Walt Disney %26amp; Mickey Statue so you can see the fireworks behind the castle.Which Disney park is the best for a couple 14 year olds?
why don't you want to go to MGM studios (now called hollywood studios)?

magic kingdom is NOT just for little kids. its my favorite disney park and i'm 23yrs old.

it has all of the classic rides like splash mountain, thunder mountain, its a small world, pirates of the caribbean, haunted mansion. ther's also space mountain but its closed for refurbishment until nov 21st.

you can spend all day at magic kingdom and still not get everything done.

you would have a lot of fun there and thats the park i would recommend you go to.
Take the kids to Disney Quest in Downtown Disney! Its an indoor interactive theme park---meaning it's packed with all sorts of video gaming, interactive gaming, virtual gaming...you name it! (You'll want to add "fun options %26amp; more" to your park pass in order to get in free)

Disney Hollywood Studios is great for kids: they'll love the Indiana Jones %26amp; Star Tours attractions! Plus Fantasmic at night!

Epcot has the "mission to mars" simulator they'll love and the GM test track next door. Plus the "Honey I shrunk the audience" 3-D movie is not to be missed!

At Animal Kingdom you there's several attractions. Go early and take the Kilimanjaro safari, which is a ride in large sarfari truck thru the "african wilderness" where the animals roam free. Also the Kali-river ride and Mt. Everest would probably be of interest. (Expect to get wet on Kali.)Which Disney park is the best for a couple 14 year olds?
well that leaves animal kingdom and epcot

if you are okay with slight nerdy stuff my personal Favorit park is epcot but I've always been kind of a geek

animal kingdom is big and you may get more of your moneys worth if your planning on going to one park it is huge and has the best disney ride expediting Everest.
Magic Kingdom is the best. It's not just for little kids.

Hollywood Studios is good too.The two best rides in all of Disney World are there.Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster.

Animal Kingdom is okay. But you might not have as much fun there.

Epcot is kinda boring.Especially for a pair of 14 y/o's.

    I'd go with Magic Kingdom.
    Kids love the water parks.

What are some recomended things to do in Disney Land Hong Kong?

I am going to Hong Kong soon and I am going to Disney Land. I have never been before and I have no idea what it's like. What are some good things to do there as I only have a few hours there. What are some recomended things to do in Disney Land Hong Kong?
Hong Kong Disneyland is extremely small. Even with a few hours, you can visit everything. I would recommend the 3D movie for sure, as well as the future car driving thing, and the Space Mountain thing (roller coaster). There is also a daily parade on Main Street. If you go to adventure land, check out the river boat ride. You may get wet though. There's also some Buzz Lightyear Laser shooting gallery. Very fun. What are some recomended things to do in Disney Land Hong Kong?

Can you give me an itinerary if we will go to disney world for four days in all the theme parks?

Me and my family(mom, dad, 14 yr old,13,10 and 4) are going to disney world. Can you give me an itinerary or tips to fully enjoy or explore all parts of the disney world? We want to avoid long lines. We are going there at the last week of april. Are there too much people? Thank you and God bless. Can you give me an itinerary if we will go to disney world for four days in all the theme parks?
I would get to a park (whichever one you go to that day) get there early. Most of the day, take your time to see what you want to see, and don't be afraid to stop and enjoy any of the surprises you might come across.

One thing to take advantage of is FastPasses. These are machines that you can put your ticket into and it gives you a time to return to the ride. (Lets say there is a 45 minute wait for Mickey's Philharmagic when you get there at 11:45am. You go to the front of the entrance, and get a FastPass. It might say something like "Return between 1:15pm and 2:15pm". Now when you return in that timeframe you will get into the "FastPass line and probably wait only 5 minutes.) And now you have time to hit some other nearby rides, grab a bit to eat, shop or just sit and relax a bit. These work great.

On the day you choose to go to Magic Kingdom, here are a few tips.

If you ride the monorail, ask to be put into the front. You may have to wait several trips, but it is worth it. The only thing is it only holds 4 passengers, so you might have to split up, just wait for the rest of the party at the other end.

When you enter the park (if you are there for opening) immediately get on the train and ride it all the way to Toon Town (this is in the back of the park.) You wait behind a rope until Toon Town opens and all the characters come out! Goofy may even choose the 4 year old to go ride his Barnstormer Roller Coaster with him. (one child per day is chosen- in 2004 Goofy chose my niece! It was awesome!)

Now you can go through Mickey's house, Minnie's House and the Judges Tent . These are where you get in line and can get your photo taken w/ characters.

I hope you will be doing a character meal while you are there. Loads of fun.

If you don't plan on doing any water parks, I would do one park per day. I like this as opposed to park hopper, where you spend part of the day in one park and then "hop" over to another park for the rest of the day. We usually do one park per day and it works out great.

At MGM, you don't want to miss the Beauty and the Beast show, as well as Rock N Roller Coaster. There are many other things to do there as well, but those 2 are "don't miss".

The 4 year old might not be tall enough for some rides, but many have a "child swap" area. You would all stay in line together until you get near the front, then part of the group gets on the ride while others wait with the little one. When the first group gets off the ride, they "swap" and stay with the child while the rest go on the ride.

At Epcot- you have to go on Soarin'. It is in the Land Pavilion.

Test Track is a lot of fun, too. (again, I am not sure about the 4 year old and any height restrictions.)

Just about any time of year there are lines at Disney World. I would suggest renting a stroller for the 4 year old. (I think you can get a discount if you let them know you want it for all 4 days. You get a different one at every park, but you can prepay or something like that) The stroller will give the little one a chance to rest (little legs get tired quickly as there is a LOT of walking)

Most of all, just enjoy everything you get to see and do. Don't try to do it all because so many people miss a lot by rushing from one ride to the next! Look for the ducks and rabbits in the gardens at Magic Kingdom. Try a ride just for the sake of doing it. (I had never wanted to ride the Teacups because I thought of it as a kid's ride- let me tell you- it is now one of my favorites!)

Take time to do stuff the other people in your family want to do. Remember, it is their vacation, too!!

Don't let the crowds and heat get everyone frustrated. There is nothing worse than seeing people argue in Walt Disney World.

    Most of all-

Have a magical time!!Can you give me an itinerary if we will go to disney world for four days in all the theme parks?
There's a goon playing 'Margaret Thatcher',a goon playing

'Mickey Mouse'-there's nothing between them...Can you give me an itinerary if we will go to disney world for four days in all the theme parks?
Go early. Start at the back of the park and work your way up. End of April is fairly crowded since people go there on senior trips, but it's still better than if you go in the summer.
First, make sure you take advantage of the FastTrack or Pass. I forget what it's called. First get there at before the park opens. Parking and getting in the gates will take about 1/2 hour. I would suggest planning on spending at least two days at Magic Kingdom. It's a large park, with a ton of things to do. Even with careful planning, experience, and using the FastTrack we still cannot see the whole park in one day. You really only need one day to see everything in Animal Kingdom. I am not a big fan of Epcot. Generally we go there after Animal Kingdom closes. Also one day at Typhoon Lagoon if it's open while you are there. There is no real way to avoid long lines, it's Disney.

Where do I go to get a good acting agent for disney channel?

I really want to act for disney channel.

    I did research and stuff.

I have the form from kids management.

But how do i get an agent for disney channel?

    In the kids management form,

    it has a blank for

    "talent representative."

    How do i get one?

PLEASEWhere do I go to get a good acting agent for disney channel?
The important thing to keep in mind is that agents wait for clients to call them looking for talent, and Disney isn't going to scout Pennsylvania or Iowa when they have stables of kids waiting to be tapped.

"Research and stuff" isn't enough. Can you act? Have you taken dance ands voice lessons? Do you have any experience at all?Where do I go to get a good acting agent for disney channel?
If you have an agent, they may send you out on various kinds of auditions. If they feel that you're good for the Disney Channel, they'll send you out for that; but there's no one specific "agent for the Disney channel."

Also, if you have no training or experience, you're not going to have much success getting an agent.Where do I go to get a good acting agent for disney channel?
disney channel doesnt have their own agents but if you contact a talent agency then you can audition for an agent...oh and can you send me the information you have already...im trying to do the same thing : )
you can also look for audition schedules for disney here: Hollywood-opportunities(dotcom)

Basically, until you get big and famous, they own you. Unless you have an agent or someone to make the rules for you.

Ok so I asked this question in another topic and I said I wanted to be famous, and I asked how to find a talent agent. They obviously didn't know how to find one, so they said some other stuff that had nothing to do with my questions. So now I am just gonna go right to the question. How can I find a talent agent for disney or nickelodeon? How can I find a talent agent for disney or nickelodeon?
i live in California and they usually have talent booths in the malls where you can sign up. try looking up "casting calls" and try elite.comHow can I find a talent agent for disney or nickelodeon?
Agents never work for just disney or nickelodeol

    Agents

They are in business. They are trying to make money. They should not however insist that you take their classes or use their photographer. They do not look at your picture and resume and go out and try to find you a job.

You should give them enough information about your skills and decent photos of you.

Almost all agents know where to find out about casting for theater and movies.

When these castings are announced they look through their files to see who might have a chance. If you appear to have a chance they will notify you.

Until you have found work several times they are not going to go out and try to sell you to a producer.

    Magic Kingdom:

    Mickey Mouse March

You Can Fly! - Peter Pan

    Circle of Life

I Just Can't Wait to Be King

I recently bought the Disney Scene it 2nd edition and it came with a bonus disc. Out of curiosity I popped it in and it had a selection of games (game 1, game 2, etc.) and every time I selected one of the games it brought me to the game playing menu. Is there new material on the bonus disc that is not on the game disc? If so is there new material for each game on the bonus disc? Someone please explain this to me.What is the bonus disc for in the Disney Scene It?
The second game disc features a unique Party Play setting, voiced by Christy Carlson Romano (Kim Possible, Even Stevens), who reads the questions and answers aloud for younger players to enjoy on their own. That's the difference :)

What restaurants should we eat at on the Disney Dining Plan?

We are going the first week of May to Disneyworld for our Honeymoon. We are doing the basic Disney Dining Plan, one snack, one quick service and one table service meal. We are there for 7 days. Where should we go? I want to go to the SciFi Drive In, but I'm just not sure where else to go. Any suggestions are appreciated. We also don't mind using two meal tickets for the nicer restaurants.

Thanks. What restaurants should we eat at on the Disney Dining Plan?
Although you already had a lot of responses, I wanted to write because I wanted to let you know to call NOW to make reservations! Many/most table service restaurants will be booked up if you do not make reservations and put signs out front that they do not accept walk ins. Decide today and call right away!! I would hate for you to pay for a table service with the dining plan and not get it.

That said, here are some recommendations. You probably will need to have many choices when you call because people were already calling in February for May reservations so have your options open.

    - Whispering Canyon Cafe has great dinners and the waitstaff have funny jokes that they make.

    - 50s Prime Time Cafe - 'mom' will make you eat your veggies before dessert!

    - Rose and Crown at Epcot - if you can get in at 7:15-8 then you can have a guaranteed seat for Illuminations

    - Boma - If you want to try something new, exotic African type food buffet style.

    - Sanaa - If you have trouble booking a restaurant try this brand new one in the Animal Kingdom Lodge that serves Indian food.

    - Cape May if you enjoy luxurious seafood buffet

    - Chef Mickey's is popular and fun restaurant
These are some of the most popular %26amp; best restaurants in Disney. I would highly recommend trying any of them!

Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom, Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom, Chef Mickey's at The Contemporary, California Grille at The Contemporary, Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kona Cafe at The Polynesian, Ohana at The Polynesian, Garden Grille at Epcot, Le Cellier at Epcot, Akershus at Epcot, Sci Fi Diner at Hollywood Studios.

I have experienced all of these and loved them. Make sure you call 90 days before your trip at 7:00 AM. Most of these places book up very far in advance. Eating in the castle, for example, books up at 7:00 AM every morning for 90 days in advance. It's one that takes a lot of luck to book.

Best of luck - enjoy the dining plan! What restaurants should we eat at on the Disney Dining Plan?
I've eaten at every restaurant in Disney World, here are some of my favorites:

    Teppanyaki - Japan at Epcot

    Biergarten - Germany at Epcot

    Boma - Animal Kingdom Lodge

Sci-Fi is fun, that was my first job at WDW! The food is not that great, but you will enjoy the atmosphere

    O'Hana - Polynesian

Rose and Crown - UK at Epcot get a late seating and you will get to see Illuminations while you are enjoying your meal!

    Coral Reef - Epcot
Dang, I was gonna say the Sci Fi Drive In! That place is very cool, really enjoyed it. My wife says the Crystal Palace, where the Winnie the Pooh characters are, and you can get hugs from them. (Wouldn't interest me on MY honeymoon, but there ya go!)

At Epcot, the Bier Garten was very cool, had live music and an awesome German buffet.

Just a suggestion: book your times at non-normal meal-time hours. Then it might not be quite so busy and crazy.

Have a great time! What restaurants should we eat at on the Disney Dining Plan?
I thought the food at the Sci-Fi was horrid. Worst food in all of Disney.

I would go to the 50's Prime Time diner instead.

    Coral Reef

    France

    Mexico

Mama Melrose-you could do the Fantasmic package

    check out all menus here:
I don't kno if chef mickey is on there but before you leave you MUST eat there.

a quick service meal the best one i think is the one in magic kingdom directly across from the race track.
    mama malrose

    japanise table ( forgot name)

    le Cellier
I prefer the 50's prime time diner over the SciFi Drive In. I did not care for the food at the SciFi Diner.
deffinetly sci fi drive in best choice

I like the way your thinking, I wish my kids were that conscientious but they are not. Walt Disney World is a very expensive place to visit, people usually spend the year savings up to go there for a week or so, it is not cheap. But there are some savings tips that I can offer you. Depending on what type of tickets you are purchasing and how often you go can hold a huge savings advantage. Yearly pass holders get anywhere from 10% to 20% off of the prices at the register.

Also, many of the same items that you find at the parks in the way of souvenirs can be found at the Downtown Disney marketplace, and they even have a few special items that you cannot get at the parks. But to plan ahead is the key, if you can avoid snacking on high priced items at the park and take your own snacks in, you can spend more on the souvenirs. Depending on how many people you are bringing a gift back for, or if it is just you, I would say for a 13 year old maybe $75.00 dollars for a few nice token memories from your magical trip. How much should I take to Walt Disney world?
i just got back from Walt Disney world and i am your age. I brought $150 and still have some money left. I also bought alot of souvenirs.

  • Where can the best deal on Disney World tickets be found?

I'm not interested in any 90 minute presentations, but I am interested in 2 adult and one child 4 day tickets to disney.Where can the best deal on Disney World tickets be found?
Disney seems to like to confuse you with possibilities of tickets and their pricing as they have options from one park one entry, to hopper to water park, to never expire and so on. Each feature to a ticket has an extra fee but the general idea is that if you stay within Disney for a longer period of time (multiple days), you'll get a lower per day price to the ticket.

As for discounts, I don't think Disney officially discounts tickets to anyone through retail outlets. There are passes available to Florida residents and you'll see booths all over the place for discounted tickets but they generally are just marketing ploys for timeshare or other sales items.

Go to the website listed below and then click on "view ticket prices" for more detail.
As a travel agent and a former Walt Disney World Reservationist, I can tell you that getting discounted tickets is VERY rare. If you are a member of AAA Auto Club you can often get a few dollars off ticket prices. Florida residents get discounts and sometimes Disney themselves offer specials on Park Hopper passes. NEVER NEVER EVER buy tickets from a booth you see on the corner. Most time, those tickets are either stolen and invalid for use at the theme parks (this goes for all theme parks, not just Disney). I cannot tell you how many times people have been ripped off by people selling "reduced tickets". Florida is a "Buyer Beware" state, so if you get ripped off, the state basically sees it as your own fault for not doing the research before making the purchase. I hope this helps.Where can the best deal on Disney World tickets be found?
    if u have time

spend 2-3 hrs on the selling promotion of vacation village

    ull get a free ticket
I would check Ticketmania (www.ticketmania.com). Also if you sign up for the monthy newsletter at Mousesavers (www.mousesavers.com) there is usually a link for a discount off ticketmania's posted price. The savings aren't huge (a lot of times) but it can add up if you are buying tickets for your whole family. And, it's always less than buying from Disney.

Also, review your ticket options on the WDW site. Buy only the minimum ticket you think you will need. It's very easy to upgrade once you get to Disney. (i.e. add extra days, no expire, park hopping)Where can the best deal on Disney World tickets be found?
One of the best sources I've found for getting great deals on a Walt Disney World vacation is none other than MouseSavers (www.mousesavers.com). I can say this because on my last vacation which was back in September 2005, I was able to adjust the reservations I'd already made in April, to include the free dining package, which ended up saving us over $500. It was fantastic. Whenever I get a vacation together, that's the first site I check for the latest deals.

What Can I Do On My Flight To Disney?

Okay. I'm going to Disney with my friend. We're both calm people so the plane ride shouldn't be a problem, except for one thing- how do we keep from getting really, really bored?

I'm going to bring lots of stuff like my handheld games, paper and pencils, DVD player and music. But I get bored extremely easily, and I'll be too excited about Disney to sleep at all. So what else can I do other than the things I've named? My friend and I can talk, but how long can that keep you occupied? I'm going to be flying in four days and I'm already really excited, and so is she. We're taking AirTran and we're picking her up at about 7:30 in the morning. (I wanted a flight where I'd have to wake up at like 3 AM because it's more exciting and I can sleep on the plane, but my mom got a different one.)

So, what can I do to keep busy? What Can I Do On My Flight To Disney?
Stay up late the night before, then you will be tired.

    Get some rest.

Bring a book to read, it will allow you to relax.

Depending on the length of the flight, you may not be able to finish a DVD.

And when you run out of things to do, contemplate the ether of life. What Can I Do On My Flight To Disney?
Whatever you do, avoid sugar before the flight. It will only make you more hyper than you already appear to be. Drink milk products.

If you had the opportunity to go to Disney World and stay in a resort for a week for free, would you go?

See, my mother will be vacationing in Orlando and going to Disney World in Dec. She has a 3 bedroom suite that she is getting as part of some timeshare program she is in. Now, my husband does not think we can afford to go to Disney World, even though we will not be having to pay for lodging. So, our price would be plane tickets (or we could even drive) and the park tickets. DW is a once-in-a-lifetime thing for a lot of people. Would you just say, "screw it", and splurge and go to Florida for a week and just pay for it later (we do both have jobs and paid vacation, only 1 child), or be "responsible" and stay home?If you had the opportunity to go to Disney World and stay in a resort for a week for free, would you go?
Go for it! You can do Disney on a budget. Don't feel pressure to go to the parks every day. You can relax at your hotel pool or hit some free things at Disney. Below are a few of my families favorites:

Going to downtown Disney, wander through the stores, bring extra clothes so the kids can play in the fountain, ride the boats in the water behind Downtown Disney.

Fort Wilderness, which is a camp ground at Disney World plays a movie every night in the middle of the camp ground. They open with a singer singing campfire songs, Chip %26amp; Dale come out, there is a camp fire where you can roast marshmellows, then they play a Disney movie up on the big screen. The whole experience is free (marshmellows not included)

You can take monorail rides. If you get on the resort line, then you can get off at each stop and explore the different hotels.

Most people come to Disney World are so rushed to experience the parks they miss getting to relax and take in this really cool place! Enjoy!
Life's too short not to enjoy things. Look for good deals on flights and park tickets. Remember that you will be bombarded with things to buy at the parks - and everything is expensive. We carried back packs with water and snacks and tried to eat breakfast and dinner at our hotel. Lunch at the parks is expensive enough. We held off on buying souveniers until the last day and each child was given a certain amount to spend. Everyone should experience DW once in their life time and who knows your mother may kick in with some extra cash to cover some of your expenses as a Christmas present. If you had the opportunity to go to Disney World and stay in a resort for a week for free, would you go?
    Go

you kid will love it and so will you, especially if you only have to pay for park tickets, a way there and food

    go for it

i would in a heart beat
Do it. Enjoy, you only live once. The kid will love it. Disney World is pretty impressive and huge, so there'll be lots to do. It will definitely be a vacation to remember. If you had the opportunity to go to Disney World and stay in a resort for a week for free, would you go?
    No way.

All those noisy children and irresponsible parents.

Give me a bit of peace and quiet anytime.
