Which Disney World resort should I stay at?

My girlfriend and I (mid 20s) are planning a trip to Disney World in early August and we are trying to decide which resort would be the best to stay at. We are looking at the The Polynesian, Beach Club, and Boardwalk Inn. We like the Polynesian for the monorail access but I heard the rooms look outdated and old. The Beach Club looks nice because it has the best pool and is really close to Epcot. And my gf really likes the Boardwalk for all of it's shops and festivities. Any suggestions?Which Disney World resort should I stay at?
BOARDWALK. Many people don't even realize it, but Boardwalk actually has an entrance to the back of Epcot. You arrive in France I believe and the lines are significantly shorter, resulting in only a 5 minute entrance. Plus you have great restaurants (Espn zone, dueling piano bar, not sure of the name but they have awesome burgers and beer) You feel a little stuck while at The Polynesian and you dont have stuff to walk around and see (but cool to stay at/easy monorail) Beachclub is really nothing to write home about. Sure its close to Epcot, but it doesnt have the entrance like Boardwalk. The pool is great at both Beach Club and Boardwalk. The poly's pool is a little small. Certainly choose Boardwalk. you'll love it and it is a little bit romantic
i absolutely LOVE the polynesian. it is very close to the parks and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. the pool is a little small but it has a water slide and is very tropical. you are going to be spending a lot of time in the parks so you really don't need a great hotel.Which Disney World resort should I stay at?
i guess the polynesian is ok....i been there once for a 4 day vacation is disney. It just looks like a regular hotel room inside. Nothing special. You may want to stay here cuz its cheap?? but i always stay at key west its really nice...
I have stayed at all 3 of these resorts, and my general opinion is that they are all beautiful, but the Epcot Resorts are the way to go.

The Polynesian rooms are dated - my last stay there was July 2008. The rooms are quite small, and there's not a whole of detail to them. The pool at the Polynesian is also very small. It's fun because it has a volcano, and you can see Cinderella Castle in the distance. It also is on the Lagoon, and you can lay out on the man-made beach. You can watch the fireworks from Magic Kingdom in the distance at night. The evening luau is a lot of fun - you have to sign up ahead of time. The decor around the resort is top notch, it's beautiful to walk around. Your dining options with Ohana %26amp; Kona Cafe are possibly the best of any resort on property - although anyone can eat there, not just Poly guests. The monorail route is excellent for visiting Magic Kingdom %26amp; Epcot - for the other 2 parks, you'd need to get a bus.

So then why do I prefer the Epcot Resorts? They are slightly cheaper than the resorts on the monorail. However you still are within minutes from 2/4 parks. You can walk right into the back of Epcot, or into Hollywood Studios. You can also walk to Fantasia Minigolf. So why pay more to stay on the monorail resorts, which have easy access to 2/4 parks when you can stay at an Epcot resort and have access to 2/4 parks. Also, there is more to do at The Boardwalk %26amp; Beach/Yacht Club. You have the entire loop of restaurants, shops, and activities. You can rent a surrey bike to take around both resorts, which is a lot of fun. Both resort pools - Stormalong Bay %26amp; The Luna Pool are far superior to The Polynesians pool. They are quite larger, with Stormalong being the most popular on property. You can't use a pool without staying at that resort, so that makes a difference.

Since you are a young couple (my husband %26amp; I are also both in our 20's), I would suggest The Boardwalk. We stayed there last year for our first anniversary. It's much quieter than Beach %26amp; Yacht Club. We were upgraded for free to a 1 bedroom villa, and the room was spectacular. Even the studios are updated %26amp; nice. They are bigger rooms than the standard Poly rooms as well. At Beach %26amp; Yacht Club, you also have very nice rooms. The pool here is an attraction in %26amp; of itself, so it draws in a lot of families. If you had children, I would point you in this direction over the Boardwalk. But since you are just going the 2 of you, I'd point you to the Boardwalk. It's romantic walking around the property, especially at night. And you'll find the pool %26amp; pool bar much quieter. There's a large hot tub on property too that we always found pretty empty.

That's my suggestion, you truly can't go wrong w/any of these resorts though. They are 3 of the best, if not THE best, on WDW property. Have a great time!Which Disney World resort should I stay at?
I have stayed at both the Poly and BC. I love the polynesian b/c the rooms are a bit bigger. They had a major renovation a few years ago, so yes they are dark (in color) b/c of the theme. There is also a quick service restauant which was great! Of the course the monorail to both MK and Epcot. Beach Club has the best pool by far!! I found the rooms to be small. But bright and cheerful. YOu can walk to Epcot--you enter by the countries. As far as the boardwalk shops--I walk there it takes 10 min, and you can take in all of the boardwalk festivities. I love them both for different reasons, you won't be dissapointed with either choice--enjoy--please let us know which you pick!
The best thing about the polynesian, is the monarail .. its so easy to get in and out of the parks! bus transportation is much much longer. but if you ike the other better, stay there if you dont mind taking the bus. polynesian is definitly NOT cheap.. considered DELUXE~ we stay at the Value ones because it leaves more money for the kids to spend.. we spend ALL day and night in the parks anyways~ all the resorts there are beautiful!, after all its disney.. have a great time!~
no polynesian , it ' s ghetto . think about your budget , to be honest w / you , you are either going to be spending your time at the theme parks or downtown disney , you shouldn ' t really care about the hotel as long as it isn ' t old , your welcome , i would go for the boardwalk .
