I'm refering to the movie Anastasia.
Why does Disney want us to feel sorry for the very people who starved their own country? The peole of Moscow and all of Russia were dying as the Czars ate heavily and enjoyed themselves. Next thing you know they will want us to feel sorry for Hitler. Why does Disney want us to feel sorry for the Czars?
was it really necessary to kill them to depose them?
what about the children? do you think there's any justification in slaughtering a toddler?
It's not saying that and plus all disney movies always have happy endings, good side, and evil side. It was based on a true story yes and they make it interesting. Some of it though I am sure is not true, like the evil magic man Resbutton, the dog, and singing everywhere. Some disney movies are just based on true stories in history and made more into a fairytale. Pocahontas is another example. I am sure the racoon, the willow tree, and the huming bird was not real and the part about different people walking on their land is but it's based on a true story and made into a fairytale. I admit I do feel sorry for the indians because americans stole their land and now it is worse than the indians had it because we treat the land with disrespect and indians respect it.Why does Disney want us to feel sorry for the Czars?
Good points made below that:
- When you watch a film based on a true story, you have to be prepared to take the "facts" with a pinch of salt. No media can portray events without some kind of slant.
- It wasn't anything to do with Disney. The film was made by 20th Century Fox.
- Even the most contemptible human beings don't deserve to be murdered, especially without trial and in front of their children.
- Anastasia herself hadn't done anything wrong, and was just a child.
"Who knows"
Why do people bother answering questions, to which they claim not to know the answer, with an answer that bears no relation to the question?
Well, not just them. When Kingdoms, Empires were under absolute Monarchy's they all did that. The Royalty and nobleman kept getting getting rich, while the poor kept even more poor. I do feel sorry for them, even if that was the case i don't think the really had to kill all the children as well. And it's not like it got better with the Soviet Union. That was just fictional, obviously that creature didn't exist. I liked it though, but i understand when you talk about the people starving to death. Why does Disney want us to feel sorry for the Czars?
I don't think it has anything to do with wanting to bend people's opinions, but rather that it's vague resemblance to a real piece of history made a good "fairy tale princess" plot that all little children love, which in turn, makes them money.
1. The film was made by 20th Century Fox, not Disney
2. The movie focused on the disappearance and the non realistic magical elements
3. About the Hilter reference, look up the 2004 film Downfall
Who knows, really? It's probably cuz they have a stupid title that sounds totally undignified. I would hate to be a czar. I'd much rather be anything else.
I'm just going to say this. Anastasia is NOT a Disney movie. Look it up.
