like in movies there have a african american friend for diversity never main character,
anyone else notice this?Do you notice in movies a lot of the times they have a african -american sidekick?yeah it used to be "token" so that they didn't get in trouble. nowadays its for money purposes to bring in af-am consumers.Do you notice in movies a lot of the times they have a african -american sidekick?
Of course. I've also noticed that all movie and TV judges, FBI agents in charge and police chiefs are black.
There were black lead characters in the '70s "blacksploitation" movies but the general public would only buy so much of insolent "I'm fkn cool and have clothes and a car white cops can't afford" characters.
There are Hispanic actors who manage to play the main guy, the ethnic guy, and still play to more than their small piece of the total population (Hector Elizondo, Cheech Marin, Pepe Serna, Esai Morales).Do you notice in movies a lot of the times they have a african -american sidekick? For superhero films?
Well... most of these big characters are whites in the story. Spiderman, Superman, all those types are white so you can't really change that without pissing off the entire fanbase but in order to promote diversity you have to make some characters black.Do you notice in movies a lot of the times they have a african -american sidekick?
Minorities are usually only sidekicks to white heros.
I have yet to se a minority hero and a white sidekick.
Oh, I saw one series. It was quickly taken off the air.Do you notice in movies a lot of the times they have a african -american sidekick?it's called the token black guy
