Whats the difference between modern and old native american movies?

what changed?

Whats the difference between modern and old native american movies? The main differences have to do with the Imaging of Native Americans as the bad guys. There was little if any attempt to depict them as anything more than blood thirsty savages and when they weren't doing that, Hollywood especially would paint them as Noble Savages capable of great deal but somehow less than their white counterparts. The seed of this lack of respect can be traced back to the earliest colonization of the Americas when whites, nit used to having to work at hunting for food would run out of their own stores and begin stealing from the natives. In order to make the almost total annihilation of Native Americans possible, what better way to achieve it than to demonize them?Whats the difference between modern and old native american movies?Say the difference between a John Wayne Western and a Kevin Costner one?

No native american says 'how' now.

Indians aren't portrayed as sadistic or cruel be default now.

Sometimes native americans actually play the role of native americans now.

Now we use the term Native American when before it was Indian.Whats the difference between modern and old native american movies?old movies glamorised the american way but now the americans are ashamed of the way they nicked the natives lands and miss treated them so now that want to make it seam like it was nice and pleasant and they didn't really kill men women and children to make the land of the brave and home of the freeWhats the difference between modern and old native american movies?
Old movies depict them as uncivilized less-than-humans that the "hero" cowboys shot down and saved the day. The attackers of the poor innocent white people that weren't doing anything wrong. (*roll eyes*)

Now, it's more of the romanticized depiction.
