Don't you think American sitcoms are better than American movies?

There are loads of great sitcoms but very few great movies to reckon with!!Don't you think American sitcoms are better than American movies?I disagree. I think the sitcom in America is dead. More and more competition and reality shows are popping up and there are fewer and fewer scripted shows. And even less scripted shows which are actually good. American movies right now are in a slump because the big blockbusters usually get released around summer and Christmas.
