Why iMac always appreas in american movies?

I have seen so many scenes in hollywood movies that people use iMac as notebook (not only writers or who work in fashion, but virtually any kind of people, household wifes, shop owners, students...)..



So it occurs to me, is iMac really that popular in u.s., or it's just a marketing trick from Apple?Why iMac always appreas in american movies?It is simply excellent marketing. I have noticed that Cisco is doing the same with their IP phones.Why iMac always appreas in american movies?
Are macs that popular in the US? I know 2 people who use macs. As someone else mentioned, companies pay to have their products appear in movies.



Now I have seen some movies with computers playing a major role in the plot, and I think the machines I saw were PCs.Why iMac always appreas in american movies?Well, the glowing white color of Mac laptops and monitors looks much cooler than the black or gray of most Windows laptops.



Regardless, Apple paid heavily to have its iMac noticeably placed in the movies.
